I’ve just read an article, by Chad LaVigne, about how people are too busy trying to write their own frameworks for projects they have, whereas a framework should be a project in itself. I thought it was worth a mention.
This applies to my framework, Eventing, but in a good way.
I’m making mine because it’s fun, [...]

At the moment, my PHP Framework, Eventing, is being upgraded to version 0.3. Here’s the breakdown of the changelog:
Complete overhaul of the common functions.
Added /system/system.php. This is similar to common.php, but will not have global functions, rather a class to deal with HTTP, etc.

Sent off a ZIP (why can’t 7z become standard already?!) file today, a collection of code snippets, files, projects, sites, design images, etc. for the latest job application for a PHP developer. The latest news so far: I have my first ‘official’ client for my freelance non-profit work, and I’m hoping to get work experience very soon (hopefully around 10 hours a week).
I haven’t written to this blog in a while, for a couple of reasons. The main reason being that I bought an iPod Touch.
Having an [...]

Hey, folks.
If you go on down to the Eventing Testing Grounds, you will see that there is a working site!
It’s about time I got it working, and it will be ported to the main site in about a week.
I’m happy about it, so I thought it was worth a post!
Cheers, mniz.
